Meet Sameer

I never really set out to become a bird photographer.

It started with a tree.

While living in Goa, I had a huge tree right outside my backyard. Every morning, it came alive with birds. I’d hear them chirping, moving around, and sometimes even knocking against my window. I started standing there and watching them.

I found myself doing it every day.

There was just one problem. I didn’t know what I was looking at.

So I decided to get a camera.

What started as a way to capture these little visitors slowly became a fascination with discovering them. I began photographing the birds I saw, trying to identify them, asking people around me for help, and keeping track of the different species that visited my little corner of Goa.

The more I photographed, the more I noticed.

And somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t just taking pictures of birds. I was getting to know them.

This website is a collection of those encounters, one bird, one photograph, and one discovery at a time.
